I'm watching Some Like it Hot for the second time this weekend. I'd never seen it before this weekend; however, I think it's absolutely amazing!
One of my favorite quotes is by Marilyn Monroe. She states a couple times that life keeps handing her the "fuzzy end of the lollipop." And now I've made it my goal to somehow incorporate this term into my everyday conversation. It is by far the cutest thing I have ever heard to describe tough situations. And what's better than looking at life in a semi-candy-coated way?
Speaking of Marilyn Monroe- dead honestly one of the most beautiful women ever. And... She had curves! Definitely a better time for women. A time when you could actually have a shapely figure and not be considered fat. I'm sure there were still pressures, but it just doesn't seem as though there'd be as many. Isn't it better to live and feel comfortable in the skin you have rather than try to fit into a size "zero"? Oh, today's society... How you disappoint me. ; )
